These terms govern your use of the Jyotish DB mobile application ("the app") and website (jyotishdb.app). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Jyotish DB is a research and entertainment tool for Vedic astrology chart search over a corpus of publicly available, source-rated birth data. It is not a substitute for professional advice, and we do not provide any prediction, financial, medical, or legal counseling.

2. Accounts

• You may sign in with Google or Apple; we never see your password.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your device and its unlock method.
• One account per person; sharing or reselling access is prohibited.
• You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

3. Free tier & Premium

• The free tier is free forever: up to 3 placement conditions + lagna, D-1 charts, and 5 semantic searches per month.
• Premium is a recurring subscription (monthly or yearly) processed by the store (App Store / Google Play) via RevenueCat. Renews until cancelled in your store account settings.
• Prices are set by us and may change with notice; renewals at the then-current price.
• Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through, per its policies.
• Cancel anytime — your entitlement lasts until the end of the paid period.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, bulk-download, or resell the chart corpus.
• Do not attempt to defeat the free-tier limits, security protections, or server-side enforcement.
• Do not use the app for harassment, stalking, or unlawful purposes.
• Do not reverse-engineer the app's binaries beyond what law allows.

5. Data & privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its interface, and branding are ours or our licensors'. The birth-data corpus is compiled from public sources with source ratings; we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for research purposes.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind — including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Astrological data is derived from public records and computational astronomy; small errors may exist.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
